About the Position

The Drinking Water Department at Uppsala Vatten is responsible for municipal drinking water preparation, from water extraction to the distribution network. For the summer of 2026, we are looking for operational technicians to assist us with operations and maintenance at our facilities during the holiday period.

You will work in the drinking water department, and your tasks will include:

• Managing the operation and maintenance of drinking water facilities according to applicable routines and guidelines.
• Assisting with water sampling as needed.
• Helping with various cleaning and maintenance tasks.

The waterworks will be visited and inspected several times a week, but you will largely choose the planning and work setup yourself. You will receive an introduction at the beginning of the period but will then work independently in the field.

Working hours are between 07:00 and 16:00. Start date and duration of employment are to be agreed upon.

Qualifications

• Driver's license (B)
• Technically interested with good problem-solving skills
• Good ability to express oneself verbally and in writing in Swedish

We are looking for someone who enjoys and is good at working independently and can plan their time. You like to take responsibility and initiate actions within the framework of your assignment. The work requires you to be meticulous and structured.

Additional Information

A large part of our operations is classified as critical infrastructure since we supply Sweden's fourth largest city with drinking water. For this position, a security check with a background check will be conducted prior to employment.
